Dream Setlist

Dream Setlist

Postby hsmall » Tue May 14, 2013 7:07 pm

I looked back at the setlist for when I saw Gaslight live, they played 23 songs including the encore. If you had to pick 23 songs for Gaslight to play live, what would you pick? What is your dream setlist in order?

Mine:

American Slang
Casanova Baby
We Came to Dance
Blue Dahlia
45
Ida Call you Woody Joe
Angry Johnny and the Radio
Halloween
Orphans
Howl
Senor and the Queen
The Spirit of Jazz
1930
High Lonesome
Bleeder (This Charming Man song)
Blue Jeans and White Tshirts

Encore:
Boomboxes and Dictionaries
Our Fathers Son
Were Getting a Divorce, You Keep the Diner
Here's Looking at you Kid
Wherefore art thou elvis
Wooderson (with the transition)
Say I Won't (Recognize)

So basically the top 23 songs you'd want to see live. Your encore is long. Is it just me or are encores getting longer? I thought an encore was typically 2 or 3 songs?

The Navesink Blues
We Came to Dance
Senor and Queen
Wherefore Art Thou, Elvis
Say I Won't
Blue Dahlia
Old White Lincoln (I like it slower with less drums)
Film Noir
The Backseat
Here's Looking at You Kid
American Slang
Howl
Mae
Mulholland Drive
Here Comes My Man
The Diamond Church Street Choir
The Queen of Lower Chelsea
Stay Lucky
Blue Jeans & White Tshirts
Drive
1930

Encore:
The Boxer
The Spirit of Jazz

I think it would be cool if they played the entire Sink or Swim album followed by the entire 59 Sound album all in order. That makes 24 songs but that's how I usually listen to them, albums at a time. I've never seen a band do that in concert.
