Post what you think is the best song from each album. You can only pick 1 per album. Post the album, the song, and then the reason why and what the song means to you.

I'm guessing almost everyone will be different - that's the power of music I suppose.

You can use this template (including the EP as well):
EP: Senor & the Queen (2008)
Song:
Reason:

Album: Sink or Swim (2007)
Song:

Album: The '59 Sound (2008)

Album: American Slang (2010)

Album: Handwritten (2012)

EP: Senor & the Queen (2008)
Song: Say I Won't (Recognize)
Reason: I love the pace of the song as well as the lyrics. Especially in the chorus.

Album: Sink or Swim (2007)
Song: Ida Call you Woody Joe and Drive
Reason: Woody Joe was the song the lead me to discover gaslight, and Drive is great because I love the lyrics and the progression and use of dynamics especially since dynamics have been a bit of an issue for gaslight songs in the past.

Album: The '59 Sound (2008)
Song: Casanova Baby
Reason: I love the drums on this song, especially the use of the snare in the beginning.

Album: American Slang (2010)
Song: Orphans
Reason: I just love this song.

Album: Handwritten (2012)
Song: Howl
Reason: Brings back the classic sink or swim vibe

There are several more reasons why those are my favorites and I can go on for hours about it, but I'm just going to be short and specific for now.

It's hard for me to pick a reason why I chose these songs over others. When I thought about each album, these were the first that came to mind and I used that as my basis.

Song: Blue Jeans and White T-Shirts
Reason:

Album: Sink or Swim (2007)
Song: Boomboxes and Dictionaries
Reason:

Album: The '59 Sound (2008)
Song: Old White Lincoln
Reason:

Album: American Slang (2010)
Song: Boxer
Reason:

Album: Handwritten (2012)

Here are mine, though all are tough choices:

EP: Senor & the Queen (2008)
Song: Say I Won't (Recognize)
Reason: Great dance song, and I like this: "so come on before we get much older, and that can happen any one of these nights."

Album: Sink or Swim (2007)
Song: We Came to Dance
Reason: Excellent music, great dance song. Love this part: "Never break their hearts never make em cry so come on, Strike up the band with a song that everybody knows, If I'm not your kind then don't tell a soul."

Album: The '59 Sound (2008)
Song: Film Noir
Reason: Like the opening, and the lyrics throughout.

Album: American Slang (2010)
Song: American Slang
Reason: Tough choice, excellent lyrics, and great opening.

Album: Handwritten (2012)
Song: Howl
Reason: Love the lyrics.

Edit: John, did you go the Gaslight concert on Monday? I talked to Scott and he said he was going. How was it? Who all went?
